Registration and device ownership

To use the DL Smart system and access device data through the web interface, several basic requirements must be met.

Basic requirements

To operate the DL Smart system, the user must have:

  • A valid e-mail address and an active phone number.

  • A smart mobile device, laptop, or desktop PC.

  • An active internet connection.

  • Basic technical skills, including:

    • User account registration.

    • Handling e-mail messages.

    • Receiving and managing notifications on mobile devices.

  • Basic knowledge of electronics, especially:

    • AC/DC voltage concepts.

    • Batteries and solar panels.

    • The operating principles of an electric fence.

Additional requirements (for the full experience)

For optimal usability and convenience, the following are recommended:

  • A large-screen mobile device (smartphone or tablet), or a PC / laptop.

  • A mobile data subscription for internet access in remote locations.

  • Advanced technical knowledge related to:

    • Voltage levels of batteries, solar panels and electric fences.

    • Solar panel power and solar charge controllers.

    • GSM signal strength.

    • GPS signal behavior.

    • Map-based location visualization using Google Maps.

Registration

The connection between the user and the device is established through the web portal www.dl-smart.eu. This portal collects data from all DL Smart devices and makes it accessible exclusively to registered users. The platform operates as a deep-web service, meaning device data is not publicly accessible.

Registration requirements

To register on www.dl-smart.eu, the following are required:

  • An active email address – accessible on the devices you regularly use, so you can receive notifications when new messages arrive.

  • An active phone number – registered within the European Union (due to additional costs, phone numbers outside the EU are not supported by default).

Registration process

Registration is required only once. During the registration process, a password must be set, which should be stored securely for future access. After completing the registration, the account must be verified either via e-mail or SMS. Once this verification step is successfully completed, the account becomes fully operational and ready for use.

If you decide to stop using the DL Smart services or sell your device, you can close your account and permanently delete all associated data.

A single user account can manage multiple devices – no additional registrations are required when adding more devices.

Device ownership (claiming a device)

To view and manage device data in your account, the device must first be claimed. Claiming a device is simple and secure, and requires basic proof of ownership: the physical device itself and the printed user manual.

To claim a device, log in to www.dl-smart.eu, navigate to the homepage, and click the + Register device button. Enter the device serial number and the activation code found on the back of the user manual. Once this process is completed, the device is immediately linked to your account.

If you encounter any issues during device registration, support is available via phone or e-mail. When contacting support, make sure you have at least the device serial number available.

After successful registration, you will be able to:

  • Access real-time and historical device data.

  • Analyze device behavior and trends.

  • Download recorded data.

  • Control the device’s impulse generator — turn it on or off, or set a scheduled function based on a weekly timetable.

  • View the device’s location in near real time, significantly increasing the chances of recovering a stolen device.

  • Receive notifications about device status and events.

Removing a device from your account

If you sell, transfer, or dispose of a device, it may be necessary to remove it from your account to stop receiving notifications and prevent further data access.

Manual removal: Open the device’s dropdown menu and select “Remove device”.

Automatic removal: manual removal is not required if the device is claimed by another user. In this case, the device is automatically removed from your account and will no longer be visible.

If you sell or transfer ownership of the device, be sure to include this user manual, as the activation code is printed on the back of it.
