Impulse generator control
When the device is properly powered and has a continuous GSM connection, the high-voltage impulse generator of the electric fence can be controlled remotely via the DL Smart system.
This remote control functionality is especially useful in the following cases:
Service and maintenance mode – during repairs or inspection work, the high voltage can be safely switched off for an unlimited period of time.
Scheduled fence operation – the impulse generator can be configured to operate automatically according to a weekly schedule, with defined active and inactive time periods for each weekday.
Daily scheduled operation
Each weekday starts at 0:00 and ends at 23:59, with a one-minute time resolution.
All scheduled times are interpreted according to the time zone configured for the specific device. Please note that each DL Smart device can operate in a different time zone.
When the impulse generator control mode is set to “Schedule”, one of the following options can be defined for each weekday:
Impulse Generator ON – The generator operates continuously from 0:00 to 23:59.
Impulse Generator OFF – The generator remains switched off for the entire day, from 0:00 to 23:59.
Scheduled Operation – The generator operates only within or outside a defined time window.
Scheduled operation
In this mode, two time values are configured:
From (hour : minute)
Until (hour : minute)
If the “Until” time is earlier than the “From” time, the specified interval is interpreted as a non-operating (OFF) gap, and the impulse generator operates outside of this time window.
Example 1: 8:00 - 16:00 – The impulse generator will operate from 8:00 until 16:00.
Example 2: 16:00 - 8:00 – The impulse generator will operate from 0:00 until 8:00 and then from 16:00 until 23:59.
Impulse generator state changes
Any change to the impulse generator state (ON, OFF, or Schedule) is applied during the next communication cycle, which occurs approximately every 2 minutes.
If the device temporarily loses its internet connection due to missing GSM signal, the impulse generator will continue operating in the last configured state until communication with the server is restored.
